Elias may have been blind, but he wasn't deaf, and he recognized that tone clearly. The fear of being left alone, left behind. His jaw ticked and he swallowed hard, determined not to let his own weakness show, and despite his earlier vow of retaining the image that demons were given, the soft spot in his chest was determined to change everything.
"Fine," he murmured quietly, straightening from his half step forward. "I won't go."
