"Her room, though there's some things on the bed. It's the best place. Everything can be shoved into the floor for the time being."
Faint voices reaching her ears, Evalyn starts to come to with a groan, wings still shifting beneath her skin. Tears pricking her eyes at the pain she raises her gaze to Kos as she leans against him-hand clutching his shirt tightly as she speaks in a forced tone "Kos. We have to find Elias. He..." Words trailing, she looks down, at war with herself. Feeling another wave of pain strike her spine, she grips his shirt tighter, crying "My wings."

Nik moved quickly before walking in the direction her room was. Shoving the door open he used his arms to sweep up the contents on the bed. Swiftly moving them to the floor he turned. Eyes blinking he redirected his attention to the other man. "Kos what is she talking about?"

Kos frowned deeply, his expression almost unreadable as he laid her down. "Eva, he hasn't been seen in over a year. No one has been able to find him, not even his brother." When she grimaced and gripped his shirt, his hand immediately grabbed hers and squeezed it gently, his brows drawn together deeply. "Your wings?" Then, his face paled.
"Eva, show me your wings," he instructed, carefully placing her on her side. Then, to Nik, "Elias was--is-- her boyfriend. However, two years ago he vanished, and was briefly seen about a year ago. Beyond that, I'm clueless."

Shaking her head quickly, she opens her lips to speak before her teeth lock up as her wings shift under her skin again. Trembling, she slowly meets his gaze as he shifts her, pupils dilated
"Your wings? Eva, show me your wings. Elias was--is-- her boyfriend. However, two years ago he vanished, and was briefly seen about a year ago. Beyond that, I'm clueless."
Clutching the sheet beneath her now that Kos's shirt is gone, she closes her eyes to focus, only managed to bring her wings out a couple of times. Skin rippling across her back, she buries her face in the bed-biting the mattress as her wings burst through her skin. Air catching the once silver feathers Eva's face pales and she jerks, tense as for once pain hits her. "You're not exactly right. About Elias. I.." she starts, voice low Sitting up she looks at Kos as small patches of black coat her wings, slowly spreading outward and destroying some of the feathers they touch "I found him a couple months ago. I couldn't take it anymore. I needed to know if I was the reason he was staying away. If the sight of me repulsed him. When I did find him, I realized I was the reason he had been away so long, but not because he couldn't stand to see me, because he thought I didn't want to see him." Face shadowing, she looks away, tears pricking her eyes as she fights to stay sitting up "I didn't have the balls to tell him to come home, that it wasn't him I was mad at, that it was myself. Because I remembered how he lost his sight. And it was my fault. Because of my silence he still hasn't come home and now he's missing again. I found him once.. But I don't know if I could do it again, he's shut me off after last time, when his mother helped me." Returning her gaze to Kos she purses her lips, sadness crossing her gaze as she looks over him and stands with a grimace, hand reaching out to brush his cheek "I'm sorry I lied to you. You've been there for me, been the only one I could trust these past two years. You could've left, but you didn't. Thank you. But I have to find Elias. You know it too, don't you? What's wrong with me?"

The more Eva spoke, the more Kos's expression changed.
First, confusion, brows drawn tight together and the crease in his frown deep. When did she leave? When was it that he could've been found? Where? Even Riad didn't find him. What lead did she receive before he was lost again?
Then, a drink of both uncertainty and understanding, jaw ticked, mouth thin. He knew exactly what that felt like, and briefly, he remembered his own past as eyes flicked to Nik.
Last, a concoction of pain and knowing, gaze moving down as Eva touched his cheek once his eyes saw the black, saw the decay. His shoulders rose and fell with a shaky breath, and his crimson-tinted eyes closed for a moment before he spoke. "I know," he murmured, eyes opening again as they looked to her wings. How foolish were the two of them? "I know very well. There's only one thing it can be that can cause this." A hand gently brushed a patch of still-pale feathers near a cluster of decaying ones. His chest ached, both for Elias, for her, for himself for having been foolish again.

Niks eyes closed,standing there silently as he thought of possibilities of what could be happening.
"I know...I know all too well.
Inhaling he opened his eyes before moving around to the other side of the bed. "For the time being we need to treat your wings-however we can to slow the infection." Turning to Kos he frowned. "You said you know- so what will we need to do?"

"I need you to say it." Sadness crossing her gaze at the look in his, Eva's eyes close at his touch before she leans in, gently pressing her forehead to his "I'm sorry." She whispers, voice cracking "But this is my fault, not yours, understand?"
"For the time being we need to treat your wings-however we can to slow the infection. You said you know- so what will we need to do?"
"Infection." Eva echoes, jaw ticking as she leans back "You make it sound as if I have the plague or something dire."

Kos's hand lowered, though his gaze didn't move from her wings. His jaw ticked a moment, ready to make a response, but one never came as he turned over possibilities in his head. From his knowledge, this sort of decay happens to angels when they start to fall, but in Eva's case, she was influenced by another race. Would it end in the same fate?

Gaze flicking to Kos at his words, Eva's lips purse momentarily before she sighs, wings coming to lay along her back as comfortably as she can "Who are you going to find?" Arms crossing over her chest, she shoots him a small annoyed look, feathers ruffling as she turns to walk to the window "I don't need a babysitter. I can take care of myself while you're gone. I lived alone for decades, remember?"

"Eva," his tone was quick, sharp, and Kos had to take a steadying breath as he pinched the bridge of his nose. "I know you're independent, but right now, someone needs to be nearby to look after you with this. This isn't something that's just going to go away, and it's something dangerous." His hand lowered as he looked to Nik, expression unreadable as he felt the anxiety brew in his stomach. "I'll be back soon. Give me two days at most."
Without waiting for a response, he steps out, hands stuffed deep in his pockets and shoulders low as the cabin doors falls shut behind him. There was no time to waste, since if he was to find them, he had to hit the ground running, and it was then he decided to pick up the trail where he parted from the person years ago. "You're going to hate me for this," he murmured.
Kos moved to Prompton in Anchorage

Flinching almost imperceptibly at his tone, Eva's arms cross over her chest tighter when he speaks, gaze shadowing as she bites her tongue to quell the thoughts forming in her head
"I'll be back soon. Give me two days at most."
Head twisting, she takes a small step forward and reaches out, her hand only catching air as he leaves. Don't leave me.. Not again. What if..jaw locking in anger, she grabs a glass and throws it at the wall-listening to it shatter before she sinks to her knees, trembling "Kos.. You better come back. You have to."

His eyes drifted to the girl after he left. Rubbing his neck he exhaled sharply. "Look I don't like this any more than you do. But Kos is a friend- that's the only reason I'm here. But if you're hiding anything else then come out with it. It'll be easier on both of us."

Going rigid, Evalyn stands and turns to face him, face taut as pain radiates through her. Staying silent a moment, she comtemplates her words before speaking lowly, her gaze sharp "I don't know you from Adam. The only reason you're here is because Kos trusts you. How do I know it's not you hiding something?"

Nik glanced at her eyes disinterested. After a second he snorted in amusement walking over to the bed. Setting his bag on the corner he sat, before digging through it. "You have me there-though I'm not a man who likes to gossip. Nor do I have any reason to spill my life story to someone I just met. But if you have questions- ill answer them. I dont have anything to hide." He glances at her eyes sharp. "Lie down- Kos told you to rest. If you think you can trust me enough, I have a serum that will help with the pain. It may also slow whatever is happening."
