With that he continues on and steps inside, gaze scanning the shack before finding Eva.

"Me." Evalyn murmurs, voice faint as she turns to face the two of them, hair now pulled back into a bun "And you don't look much older than myself, kid." she mutters sarcastically

"Looks are deceiving," Kos mutters more so to himself than anything as he studies Evalyn, then he looks to Nik. "She's a Valkyrie, though we're still learning the ropes as we go."

Shaking his head at the two as he half regrets his decision, he lowers himself into stance and nods at Eva, jaw ticking. Did he really want to? But, knowing that he doesn't have much of a choice, Kos takes a breath and darts forward, aiming to take her down.

Nik laughed at her statement. Oh he wasn't denying that he was indeed a child. No not once-simply pointing out she was one. As Kos advanced he watched them,leaning against the wall.

Eyes narrowing slightly in the corners when Kos darts to her, Eva plants her feet, squatting a bit before she jumps up just as he reaches her, reaching a height of almost six feet. Twisting in midair, she lands on his back and slips an arm around his neck in an attempt to choke hold him

Kos quickly counters and leans forward, pulling her over him and lays her on the ground, hand on her shoulder with her shirt balled in it, expression questioning. "Come on. I thought I taught you better, Evalyn."

Nik straightened a moment, impressed with what he had seen so far. Kos had said he hadn't gotten far, but he didn't see it that way. But then again, they hadn't been seeing eye to eye lately.

Hitting the ground on her back, Eva opens her mouth to respond before her gaze widens the moment pain shoots down her spine. Gasping, she reaches out, hand scrambling to find Kos's and push it away. Once she finally gets free, she turns over on her side to try and push herself up, pupils dilated as she manages to get one knee under her before she collapses. Curling up in the fetal position, her legs jerk as the wings under her skin shift randomly, breath shallowing as she starts to pass out, hair falling into her face as a fever breaks out, hand clutching at the floor weakly until unconsciousness finally takes her

Kos jerks back as Eva pushes him away, gaze furrowed as he watches her tries to sit up, then his face pales as she collapses. Quickly, he scrambles to her side, pushing her hair back. "Eva, what's wrong?" he asks, though seeing her eyes close panic rises. "Evalyn, stay awake. Hey hey, Eva!" He pushes her hair back from her face, hand on her forehead, and his jaw ticks and he looks to Nik, showing emotion for the first time in a while, though this time it's only panic and worry.
Looking back at her, he touches her cheek, murmuring, "Eva, you've got to wake up."

Nik had watched, unsure what was happening. However, once Kos had met his eyes he immediately moved. Walking over he kneeled next to him, hand reaching out to feel her neck. "She's never done this before." It wasn't so much a question- he could tell that from the man's behavior. No it was a statement, one to get Kos's attention. Feeling her neck he exhaled before straightening into a standing position. "Is there someplace where she can be more comfortable?"

Kos jerked his head towards the room to the right as he carefully picked her up, keeping tabs on her breathing, if she moved, made a sound, anything. His heart pounded and fluttered in his chest much like a bird's after coming across danger for the first time. In the years he stayed with Eva, he let himself grow comfortable as the wraiths over time seemed to have disappeared with no traces of them left behind. The pair kept a sort of alertness about them, but they've never had to been as on-their-toes as the raven was now.
"Her room, though there's some things on the bed. It's the best place," he murmured, straightening as he tried to hide the pit that settled heavily in his stomach. "Everything can be shoved into the floor for the time being."
