Auguste watched them, then brought over Kasper's preferred drink and sat it on the table by him. "Good morning, Kasper." He gave a friendly smile then took a seat himself.
"We're fine. We have some errands to run, so we just needed something to hold us over until lunch.
"I see. Well make sure you get enough regardless." She smiles at them before fixing her a plate. "So then boys, any news? Are any of you married yet?"
Kasper nodded at Auguste as he had taken a seat, busying himself in his food. Even though, he still tuned into what was being said around him. It still made no sense to him why everyone was so friendly to this woman.

The youngest shook his head and looked down with a small sheepish smile. "No."
"Ah, don't look so down," the other gently elbowed him in the ribs. "You'll reach that point in time when it all comes."
Auguste ate slowly, listening, his expression content.

Leia laughed at the sheepish expression. "He's right you know. You're still young, so no need to rush."
Kaspers fork landed on his plate with a loud clang. "Why are you all talking as if nothing is wrong with this picture?! How can you all be so friendly towards someone like her?" he glared at all of them, annoyed at their actions.

The two started and looked at him, surprised, and the eldest replied, "The likes of her?" He looked at Leia then back at him. "She's the one who escorted the people I was with from the lower districts of Spades to here. It's because of her leading me here and Auguste accepting us into his fold that we aren't laying in a ditch somewhere."
The younger looked down. "She's protected us and kept Hearts and Spades at bay so we can start a new life." He looked at Kasper. "Because of her dedication to the people, I look up to her, and if Mr. Sloane trusts her, then I know I have no reason to be fearful." He gave a nervous laugh. "Although I didn't realize who she was when I saw here."
Auguste listened closely, then looked at Kasper. "What's on your mind?" he asked gently.

Leia stilled, laying her fork down on her plate soundlessly. She stared up at him calm, although she was strongly fighting her urge not to flinch at the harshness of his words and break eye contact. Although her eyes were calm, they were hiding several emotions behind them- confusion, hurt, sadness. And that was a rare thing to see with her. Although that's what was hiding, you still wouldn't be able to see it unless you looked straight at her. And she would never look directly at you purposely.

Leia's gaze drifted right to the two men who had spoken up for her, her gaze slowly losing all the emotions she once held inside. Instead her gaze became lighter, eyes filling with joy as well as pride. She tended to forget what kind of impact she had on people. To her it was just natural to help someone out. This merely reminded her that she had someone else to go meet with.
"What's on your mind?"
Kasper watched them, his brow furrowing deeper with each word that each of them uttered. Two blue eyes flicked over to the woman momentarily. Had she really done all that? Gaze flickered between calculating and stern, he shook his head. Maybe she had helped them.Despite what they said he still didn't trust her. Not everyone was as they appeared, that was a hard lesson that most learn sooner or later. "Nothing." Everything. The wars, her appearing her out of the blue to ask him to assist her. "I just don't get you people." He stood before picking his plate up and carrying it to the sink. Just as he was about to walk out, he heard her speak.
"Kapser, a moment if you please. " Gracefully she stood and walked into the kitchen to wash her plate. She gave a glance to Auguste as she passed where he was siting before looking forward again. She didn't expect the boy to brush off her request, as he hadn't last night. But if by chance that he did, then she would need some help just in talking to him. Upon reaching the kitchen she lay her plate to the side before pushing her sleeves up.

Auguste continued eating, the two men exchanging glances before turning and nodding to Auguste. The eldest spoke. "Thank you, sir, for the meal."
He smiled. "No need, John. The two of you are always welcome. Take some back to your wife if you want."
"Oh, no, we've plenty at home." The man waved his hand in dismissal. "But thank you."
Auguste nodded and bid them good bye, and the two left and returned to their errands.

Kasper stared at her before following her back into the kitchen. "What do you want?" He arched a brow at her as she started to wash her dish, as well as the ones he had put in the wash bin.
"I was wondering if you had come to a decision concerning my offer. " says as she holds the plate up to inspect it for anything that she may have missed. "I'm leaving after this and I was wondering I had company or not." She turned around to look at him, a towel drying the other hand.
"I have. " He stared at her before sighing. "I will do a trial run, just to see how things go. But I still don't trust you. "

Auguste listened to them silently, finishing off his morning tea, and when Kasper's answer came he visibly relaxed with a quiet sigh. His gaze fixed itself on the tea in his cup, relief taking over worry as he no longer felt the need to worry as much as he was.

Leia exhaled softly before walking over and kissing his cheek softly. "Have some tea ready for my return."
And Kasper," "I'm trusting you to watch after her."
"Tch." He wasn't a watchdog. Yes he agreed to go with her, but he would do no such thing.
Leia turned and walked out the door suddenly, not even bothering to say goodbye. No she wouldn't do something like that to him. Goodbye meant more than normal people intended it to mean sometimes. She saw no point in the use of the word. They would see each other again eventually. "Come along Kasper, time is of the essence."

Alyse listened, but after some time lost consciousness, drained.
At the carnival, several of Auguste's men saw them, several running out to them while another goes to alert Auguste himself.

"Auguste. Good I was worried I missed you. Ill be in my room."
He turned from where he worked on the tea, eyes widening slightly as he sees the girl, though internally his heart fell. It wasn't her. However, he nodded. "I'll bring some tea in, and something light for when she wakes."
Finishing the tea, he grabbed a few crackers and placed them on a small plate with a little dark chocolate, as he wasn't sure when she last ate, and walked to the bed room.
