Finnik let out a quiet laugh of thrill, looking all around then to Leia. His mouth was open to say something, however he stopped as he took in her appearance-- her closed eyes, the rigidness in her shoulders, the fabric balled between white knuckles. Slowly he sat forward again, gaze studying as the smile faded to seriousness.
"Leia?" came his voice after a moment. "What's wrong?"

"Leia? What's wrong?"
Breaths coming out in sporadic puffs of air-her body flinched as his question startled her back to where she was. Swallowing she moved her head side to side slowly. She would be fine in a moment-she continued telling herself that so it would sound more believable. Eyes opening in narrow slits, her gaze landed on him as she managed a small smile despite her stature. She hated herself for getting worked up over something so trivial-espescially now that she had worried him. It would have been fine if she had never attempted to see the allure of the carnival. But as always she couldnt bring up the courage to jump the hurdle that had been weighing her down all her life.

Finnik knew at the sight of the smile that she was not alright.
First, he began turning over what could be wrong. Several scenarios came to mind-- were there more stressors than he thought that plagued her? Was coming to the carnival a good idea? Was--
He stopped. Retraced their steps. When did things go awry?
Guilt found it's way into his features.
Vaguely, he recalled just as they walked up the change in her demeanor when they climbed into the carriage. Leia tried to hide it, but there were signs of discomfort, and because of his stupor, it slipped by him unnoticed. How foolish could he have been, failing to see what he was putting someone else through again? Now, he considered what he could do, but being stuck up high, there weren't many choices.
"Hey," Finnik attempted to smile, something to distract her from the outer world. "Tell me about the diamond district? There's still a lot I don't know about how things actually work here, and Auguste seems too busy to try and ask."

"Diamonds square?" She murmured-mind reeling as she tried to recall it. Though it wasnt hard-it was the only other place that made her feel at ease. "There isn't as many citizens as the other districts have...like the other rulers there is a small castle." She took a deep breath before continuing. "Though its more or less been transformed to suit the public. The right wing has been turned into a school for all ages. And the left wing into training grounds for the soldiers." She tensed as they started moving again, though her face seemed a little more relaxed. Fairbank gardens is directly in front of the castle where we grow almost of our herbs in flowers. My favorite part is the sakura tree near the entrance. There's a park of sorts in the middle of the district that I created after the in between. Its not as lively, but its not limited to one person or activity. Many of our nature lovers reside there, sometimes in tents." She paused gaze still narrowed as she tried to gauge where they were. "Theres also my diamond villa where I hold most of the district meetings, though it could use some fixing up."

Finnik leaned forward as he listened, taking in all of the details he could as she spoke. The comparisons were being drawn in his mind between Diamonds and the Carnival, and part of him wished he had more information about the other factions to compare theirs, too.

"It sounds like a pleasant place," Finnik responded after she looked finished. It was certainly better to see her a little more relaxed, though he could see she was trying to see where they were. "Maybe a little more quiet and still than here at the Carnival, but it's intriguing nonetheless. Do you think I could visit some time?"
With the earnest look on his face, something else started shinning through. It reared its head at dinner before, and in the room when they spoke of certain things. It was something regal, something older than the young man sitting in front of Leia now, something that stretched beyond. Auguste's movements and grace could be compared to it easily, with the mannerisms of a gentleman and the calculated speech.

"Yes.." Leia gave a small smile, eyes lighting up at the request. "I would love to take you there one day." Feeling the carriage lurch once more her face paled, before she realized that they had stopped. Hearing the door open her eyes opened, widening as a figure filled her gaze. Inhaling she stood, gaze flicking to Finnick. "Well that was exhilarating, shall we?" She took a step hands shaking.
Kasper opened the door, eyes immediately drifting to her. Yup she was still hiding her discomfort. Groaning he rubbed his head, before stepping into the carriage. "Good grief." Reaching forward he took her hand before pulling gently. Stepping down his other hand hovered near her waist in case he needed to catch her.

"Yes.. I would love to take you there one day."
"Wonderful," the young man beamed, already planning in his mind when the time would be best. There was a sort of new excitement in his belly now, breathing in new life into him.
"Well that was exhilarating, shall we?"
His gaze moved to where the open gate was, and it met Kasper's as he waited patiently for Leia to step out. Finnik offered a smile to him, though, like the other man, he watched Leia carefully to ensure everything was alright. Given how the ride went, he also took many notes, the biggest one being to avoid anything that goes up high.
"Good grief."
Finnik remained seated as Kasper helped her out, waiting until they were clear of the gate before stepping out himself. He straightened his coat and looked up at the wheel, taking in account it's design and the lights and the shadows of the other passengers that he couldn't see. It was a marvelous thing, and somewhere in the back of his mind he felt another familiar prick, but turned away and back to the pair in front of him.

"Careful of the steps, they can be slick sometimes." Kasper muttered as he continued leading her to safety. It was undetermined why his body had moved on its own- when his mind was wanting to ridicule the diamond queen for being scared over a little height. Though something had stopped him.
Leia stepped forward involuntarily, cheeks pinking. Glad it was dark, she quickly recovered- changing her stride into a natural one. Once back on the ground she studied him, trying to understand why he helped her yet again. Though she supposed must thank him-not becuase it was the right thing to do. But because she was genuinely grateful he hadnt called her out on it. "Thank you Kasper." Pulling her hand back reluctantly she gave a small smile before turning to Finnick. "So- was it to you're liking?" She questioned nervously. She was sure she knew the answer from his reactions, but she needed to be sure.

Seeing Kasper show a bit more of a warmer side than he had previously, Finnik felt a little more at ease. GRanted it, he did feel a little guilty about not noticing the issue beforehand, but he also didn't feel the need to point it out to the woman. It was obvious she didn't want to acknowledge it.
"Thank you Kasper. So- was it to you're liking?"
After studying the two a moment, his gaze settled on Leia. The colors of the carnival reflected brightly in them, mixing with the excitement he felt having experienced something that felt both new and familiar to him. "It was wonderful. I would've never thought the world would look like a wildflower field from up high."

Kasper snorted at the response before pulling away. "That's a ridiculous notion." Scowls before turning away. "I have to get back to work." Walks away to let more people on the ride. Though his scowl slowly turned into a pleased smirk.
Leia blinked before her eyes smiled. "Well then-that's quite the imagination. And yet the description is quite fitting." Taking his arm, she stifled a laugh. It seemed that she had made quite the decision. The only candidate to become one of her citizens and she could never been to understand what he was thinking. "Despite what he said I'm sure Kasper agrees. He has quite the fickle personality. Now then-where to next?"

Accepting her hand on his arm, Fin started to lead the way once more, casting a sidelong glance towards the direction Kasper left with a smile. "He doesn't want to show it off to others, but he has a good heart. It'll take some time for him to open up." Turning his attention to their path once more, he looked around at where they were. "What are some of your favorite parts about this place?" he ventured to ask. "With this being a whole new territory to me, it might be a good place to start where one of us is familiar with it."

"Oh I don't think it'll be too much longer. " she responded with ease-believing it wholeheartedly. Despite the impression he had given her upon meeting-he had continued to surprise her. She only hoped he would give her an answer soon.

"What I like most?" She asked herself,gaze raising as if the sky would have answers. "I would have to say the people here. But if you're looking for specific areas...I would have to say the cafeteria. The food is just absolutely wonderful here."

Finnik smiled at the confidence she wore with the phrase, and he agreed. The way Kasper had slowly changed since Finnik woke up as himself was evident, and back at the Farris wheel, it had shone through with the concern he expressed for the woman.
"What I like most? I would have to say the people here. But if you're looking for specific areas...I would have to say the cafeteria. The food is just absolutely wonderful here."
The thought mulled in Fin's mind as he looked ahead. He was beginning to feel peckish himself, and briefly wondered if having a snack now would ruin his appetite for the party later. Then, he thought that maybe with the party later, he may forget to eat something, and thought it better to explore the culinary delights of the carnival now.
He smiled again. "I suppose a visit with food isn't a bad idea. Truth be told, I don't recall having eaten much street food before, so it'll be another wonderful experience."

"Splendid!" Truth be told,she was showing him around-for his sake of course. But it was also for hers. Pausing she blinked, trying to recall the last time she had taken a stroll. Not being able to remember put a small frown on the woman's face. The harder she tried, the more her worries resurfaced. After a second she shook her head-this wasn't the time to be thinking about work.
Turning to him she smiled. "Though I will warn you Finnick dear- street food does have a certain allure. Do be careful not to eat everything you see."
