Elias looked at her, though his hand moved to the spot below his collarbone in slight confusion. "Something's changing," he murmured, and slowly he reverted back to normal, sitting criss cross on the ground. He pulled the collar of his shirt down, staring at the red symbol that was slowly fading away, frowning. He was free of his end of the deal with Lucifer?
He looked around, then back at Nova. "Mom... What can you tell me about the things out there?" he said quietly, his mind working in overdrive as he scrambled to put pieces together, having reined in his emotions.

Riad showed up by the lakeside, hands in his pockets and his expression blank as he stared over the water under the darkening sky. His jaw worked in his silence, and he turned and looked back at the cabin tucked in the woods, violet eyes bright in the dark, his demeanor changing rapidly.

She needs you, and it's time to say goodbye for now." she murmurs, already turning back into her other form, though fainter than she was-barely visible, takes too much energy to put up the facade as the human she once was

Elias tensed, gaze towards the ground, and then he looked up at her, jaw ticked a moment. "Mom... I love you, and I'll be back when I can." His voice was low and quiet, and a moment later he forced himself to wake.
He stirred, an arm covering his eyes as they finished draining any leftover tears, and he took a shaky breath, hastily wiping his face.

Elias straightened and ran a hand over his face, looking at the door with a stern expression, brows angled in slight uncertainty. "It's just my brother." He stood, stepping over to the door and jerking it open, seeing Riad. "What--" He stopped after actually looking at him, seeing his expression.
Riad's brow was knotted and hardly held any trace of the softer side of him, gaze training itself on Elias. He opened his mouth to speak, but then closed it again. What was he going to tell him? That's right. "We need to talk."
"I can see that," Elias murmured. "You're not the same guy who tried pulling me away from the Pier."
"Because things have happened. And I can see that things have here, too."
"If you're referring to me seeing you, then yeah." Both fell quiet, studying each other, before Elias stepped to the side. "Get in here and we'll talk."
Riad nodded and stepped inside, looking at Evalyn, then gave a dip of his head in apology.
