He studied her face, brows drawn together as he fought back his emotions, only offering a small twitch of his lips. However, he looked down, running a hand through his hair. "I..." He paused, struggling a moment. "I don't know what's happening, or what I'm to do... I know I need to swallow all of this and find them, but.. What if I can't?" he looked at her, slightly afraid. "What if things can't go back to how they were?" Hesitation rose again, and he looked away. "What Riad and I had... It's gone."

Elias looked at her, confused, eyes searching her face. At the last statement he tensed a little. But then, his younger self started to show through more as he hugged her tightly. The air around him changed, and in the next moment, he was a little boy because of the moment he let his emotions out, ditching the chilled demeanor and trying to keep up the facade of caring little. Stilling at the sudden hug, she slips her arms around him slowly, eyes studying him before she stiffens when he changes. Looking at the little boy she's now holding, her gaze fills with tears at the sight, shakes her head, burying it in his hair as she cries quietly "Please don't do that.." she whispers, voice cracking "I can't stand it..."

But Elias.." she murmurs, tilting his head up "Even if I am not here, you are never alone. You have Evalyn, and your brother, your father..." her lip trembles a moment before she leans in and kisses his forehead "And I'll always be in your heart."

His face crumpled and he gave a small nod, squeezing his eyes shut. "Who is Evalyn? How do you know her?" He was trying to pull himself back, distract himself from the overbearing emotions, but he wasn't quite succeeding.
