"Oh, okay..." Eva murmurs hesitantly, slowly sitting up and moving to the couch, gaze finding Riad when the door opens
"What--"
"We need to talk."
"I can see that. You're not the same guy who tried pulling me away from the Pier."
"Because things have happened. And I can see that things have here, too."
"If you're referring to me seeing you, then yeah. Get in here and we'll talk."
"Hello." she states after a moment in response to the nod, bites her lip "Can I get you something to drink?.."

"Hello. Can I get you something to drink?.."
Riad shook his head and offered a meager smile of thanks. "No, but thank you."
"Why is it you're here?" Elias said after a moment, having closed the door and stepped over to the couch.
He hesitated. "Do you remember the woman you killed?"
Eli stiffened, though his gaze remained even. "What of her."
"She wants to talk to you."
"How? She's dead."
Riad shook his head, jaw ticking. "No. She's taken residence inside of Carter, and fighting against him because he became a demon. She was a demon hunter, and she threatened she'll kill him."
Elias scoffed. "Talk to her yourself."
"She asked for you." Riad's tone sharpened, and inside it Elias her the underlying crack, and he straightened, eyes studying. "She asked for you and refuses to talk to anyone else."
Elias remained quiet, studying, and recognizing the underlying words. Jaw ticking, he was going to refuse him, but stopped when he remembered what Nova had said, and seeing Riad in his seemingly cold state covering up his fragility, and knowing that there's something more eating away at him.

"Elias..."
His eyes remained on Riad, then trailed to wear his brother's fists were clenched, lavender meeting his violet again. "I'll go," he said quietly, and Riad's expression faltered with a little surprise slipping into his gaze. "Though I have one request, Riad."
Hesitating, his fists unclenched a little. "Name it."
"That woman, if she tries anything, anything at all, either help stop it, or keep Sparrow safe."
Riad's eyes moved to Eva, gauging. Could he risk Carter? He swallowed, looking back at Elias, ten nodded. "You've my word," he said quietly.
Elias nodded, satisfied, though he stiffened at the next question.
"When did you start to see again?"

Out of habit, his hand found hers as he gathered his thoughts. "Mom... She gave it to me."
Riad's shoulders fell a little, eyes widening. "Nova? She's alive?"
He shook his head, hand tightening a little. "No. She's gone... It was her last straw to protect Eva and me."
Something flickered across his gaze, something that resembled loss as the days events kept piling. He looked down, gaze growing shadowed. "I'm sorry."
Elias shook his head and stood. "No. You're not at fault." He then looked to Eva. "Will you be willing to come with me? I don't want to leave you here alone."

Riad stiffened at the gesture, raising his gaze and looking at Evalyn, confusion crossing his gaze.

Elias nodded and wrapped his arm around Eva, vanishing with her to the bar. Riad remained a moment longer and took a deep breath, eyes closing. "Let's hope this works out," he murmured to no one then followed behind.

He opened the door and stepped inside, carrying her to the bedroom, setting her into the bed. "If you want me to stay, I'll stay, Sparrow. I won't leave you alone." His voice was a low rumble in his chest as he sat by her, slipping off his shoes and kicking them towards the dresser.
