Elias thought for a long moment. "I think it's a combination of things," he starts. "Being able to see again, seeing Riad without fighting for the first time." His eyes studies the sea. "Maybe it's because I'm free from Lucifer and unused to the peace. Maybe it's the mystery behind Eva, behind what's after her." Picking up a rock, he turns it over in his hand before throwing it out to the waves. "I don't know how to see the world."

He closes his eyes behind her hands, head lowering just a fraction. "What potential could I hold that is different from what I had before? I don't know much more than that." At the second statement, his expression relaxes a little. "This place is the place I've always remembered, and I've always been fond of the sea."

"I don't know," he admits, falling silent as he listens to his mother go on. "Dad brought me here a lot and told me stories after it happened." His voice slips just a little. "He made sure that even though you were gone that I wouldn't forget you."

"He did?.. Of course he did. Your father was always good at that, not forgetting. It's time for you to wake up. I'm sure she's waiting for you."
He purses his lips, looking down at his hands. "I guess we both are good at that. Not forgetting." He closes his eyes, still fighting with the anger he feels towards Dozorce, the anger towards Riad. He thought he had reconciled with what happened, but in the end he guesses he hasn't. His eyes open again as he takes a breath. "You're right." He forces a small smile. "I can't hide from the world forever." Slowly Elias stands, looking out over the waves before looking to Nova, uncertain. "And I guess it's also time to figure out what my potential is."

Elias gives a thin smile, then he leans down and kisses the top of her head gently. "Until next time, mom," he says quietly, straightening and walking by her. He takes a breath and closes his eyes, preparing to wake himself up.
He starts to slip back awake, though his eyes snap open as there's a sharp hot pain that radiates in his chest and he gasps, head snapping up, but then he gives a low groan, hand moving to his chest as his head falls back onto, eyes closing again. "God damn," he hisses.

"Someone's decided to go and get themselves killed it feels like," he murmurs, taking a shallow breath and lets it out, eyes opening as the pain dulls a little. "I'll live." Looking over, his eyes take in her appearance, and slowly, gingerly, he straightens. "What's wrong, sparrow?"
