"Don't look so pale, Sparrow," he chuckled lightly. "It happens mainly to the barbaric demons. When they fight, whoever loses loses a piece of their tail, or all of it. Or their born bobbed tail. Or it gets cut in battle or something. Most demons' tails are their prized possession since we don't normally have much anyway."
