Laying on the bed, Shade lies curled in the fetal position, biting back cries as her hunger gets worse and threatens to consume her. Irises flashing black, she jerks as she starts to lose the battle, smoky wings forcing their way from her skin as she screams, clutching at the sheets, trying to rein it in

Hearing a shrill sound, Zlo started and took off, reaching Shade's apartment. He ran up to the door, twisting the doorknob then jiggling it, growling when it's locked. Taking a breath, he disappeared and reappeared on the other side, hearing the screaming and ran to Shade's room, finding her on the bed.
"Christ, Shade. Shade," he ran over to her, starting and stepping back at the black haze, eyes flicking around. "Shit, no no, oh hell no." He moved back over, hands gripping her arms. "Shade."

Clutching the sheets, she jerks as her wings extend to their full length, eyes completely black, clutches her head in pain with one hand, flinching away when she's grabbed "No! Let go!" she hisses, veins in her face pulsing black a moment as she looks at him, teeth razor sharp, reverting to her more primal form, losing herself "Go find someone else to torment, before I swallow you whole."

Turn back into what I'm supposed to be, forget the pain." her voice comes out quiet, barely a whisper "Aren't you tired of playing human, when we're not? I am."

At the slap, he stiffened, making a face, though he only pulled back slightly, crimson eyes bright as he searched her face. "You think I've been playing human?" he gave a sharp laugh, shaking his head and pulling back even further. "Man, I must be losing touch with myself if you thought that. But okay, if you want to become the worst instead of trying to make the best out of it all, have at it. I won't stop you" He was sitting on the bed now, running a hand through curly hair. "If you change your mind," he gestured to himself, "I'm an all you can eat buffet, at least all without killing me."

Yes, I may still be human inside, but only because she still has my heart, my little girl, threatened by the knife of the damned devil. "But if it means that she will have a sliver of a chance, I'll suffer for it."
He turned and stalked out of the bedroom. "If you don't want any help, fine. I won't offer it."

As she spoke he slowed, head rolling back just slightly as his jacket rustled from his wings as he took a heavy breath, not facing her.
"If you die by anyone's hand, it'll be mine. You know, since I hate all men, I should hate you. But I don't, not entirely. And you want to know the saddest part?"
Slowly, Zlo turned enough to look at her, hands relaxed at his sides and his gaze frozen over, crimson meeting black.
