"She managed to escape the blast, but how I don't know." He looks forward again, brow creased deeply and mouth twisted in thought. "But I can't think of anyone that could have anything against her to stretch to such lengths as to destroy her home and the only family she'd ever known."

"I could. Though, I doubt this is over. Even if she is or isn't the target, they'll be coming back for her, Riad. I'm not sure letting her go off alone was the best thing to do."
