His eyes open completely with a frown as he crawls out of bed, buttoning his jeans as he steps out of the room and looks towards the creature. Riad's brows crease slightly. "Dewy?"

"And you have a nickname for it. Cute." Carter murmurs, sighing as he stands and walks towards him, kissing his jaw on the way "I'm going to get dressed in case anyone else shows up. Let me know if you need anything." he states, disappearing back into the room
Barking lowly at the sound of Riad's voice, he trots over to him, fur shimmering like usual but slightly dull, tail and ears flat, linked to Ammiras spiritually

Riad watches him pass. "I will." Turning his attention back to Dumond, he frowns at the disheveled appearance of him. He kneels down, extending a hand as he murmurs, "what's wrong?"

Whining softly, Dewy presses his muzzle to Riad's hand, turning solid for a moment before he turns to the door, trying to get him to follow

"I think something's happened to Ammiras," he murmurs, turning to look at him with worry, a little crimson showing. "Dumond doesn't normally stray this far from her, as they're connected by spirit."

He purses his lips, seeing the change in temperament in his gaze, and he starts to feel guilty about leaving him behind for a second time. But he also couldn't stand by, knowing something could have happened. Taking a breath, he nods, hoping Carter could forgive him. "I won't be long." He hurries to the door and pulls down a hoodie, jerking it on before running out with Dumond.

"Alright," Carter murmurs, eyes closing when Riad vanishes before he goes to the couch and plops down on it, waiting.
Short timeskip!
Feeling the wind shift about ten minutes later, he shifts slightly, comfortable "Welcome home." he murmurs, sensing him about a foot away "Did everything go okay?"

Riad runs his hands through his hair as he steps over and took a deep breath. "Ammiras is alive, at least," he murmurs quietly and sits on the edge of one of the cushions. "Bullheaded as usual, but she's at least able to keeping kicking."

He shakes his head, gaze forward as he starts. "I don't know. It looks as though a bomb was planted, but I'm not sure. There's not enough of the mansion remaining to give any solid evidence." Ri looks at him, though his eyes are solemn. "The others didn't survive the attack..."
