His jaw ticked as her voice reminded him of someone before he turned cold. He straightened, leaning forward on the table, eyes focusing on nothing as his hands clenched together. He saw no reason to keep lying. She was the best thing to come along and actually stay through his abuse. "My brother and I... We're monsters from nightmares. He and I have fought and fought for years, and our last fight led to this." He gestured to his eyes. "All that fight proved was what we really are, something that can't be happy within this world. Waiting when he falls silent, she tilts her head when he speaks, listens. Unmoving till he finishes, she inhales slowly, opens her mouth before freezing when her gaze crosses that of a clock. Eyes widening, she looks down at the table, stands slowly, leans over and places her hand against his forehead. Eyes wavering, she kisses the back of it, as close as kissing him that she'll allow herself to get "I'm sorry about your brother. But you aren't a monster." she murmurs quietly "And you can be happy." tears pricking, she grits her teeth, heads for the door quickly after throwing down money, murmurs that she has to go, she's late

Elias's jaw worked as he tried to rein in his frustration and anger from the outburst as the silence grew. However, when he heard the chair move, he twitched a little, head tilting at the sound, and when he feels her hand, he started.

Frowning as he felt added pressure before it disappeared, catching her murmur and the sound of money, his jaw ticked. His head turned as he listened to her walk away, tensing and hands clenching to fists. He noticed something in the tremor of her voice.

Breath hitching when the run down shack is in sight, she blinks back tears and speeds up as much as she can, eyes widening when she sees something near the corner of the house "No, please!" she cries, collides with a loose board on the dock she forgot about and goes sprawling, hits a post and coughs, wind knocked out of her, almost falls into the water. Once her vision is clear, she scrambles to get up, runs at the end before the whole building suddenly disappears, hits a invisible barrier, beats on it weakly with her fists
