An often rowdy and bustling bar on the outskirts of town, a matter of all things dwell here-- humans, demons, magicians, bounty hunters. Open night and day, rain and snow, rumor has it that it was founded by Ol' Jack himself, given how close to the ever-winter forest it rests, but no one has found proof of it yet. Though the man himself was rumored to be of light heart and fun, here things remain a little more tense as many look for ways to make a quick buck via the black market or hits put out by multitudes of shady characters.

Even though the sun appears bright outside, the moment that Abel stepped in to the tavern, the world turned into a pocket of uncertain time and uncertain place. Voices carried on as they conversed loudly, a group of people hovered over a table in the corner, leaning above a multitude of found items-- some crystals, old photographs, possibly a broken horn or two. It looked like there may have been some other, more antique oriented items, but Abel failed to get a good look as he dodged a couple of tussling men and stepped behind the counter.
"Sorry I'm late," he tossed a smile to the older women who reached over the counter to swat away some hands from her cups, rescuing them from the potential of getting shattered.
Her ruby lips curled back as she placed the two glasses in the sink, though in a sharp smile or a snarl, Abel couldn't discern. "I don't want your apologies, Twinkle Toes. Just take table five their drinks, and let the folks at table eight know that if they don't cut it out, I'll have Zephyr see them out."
As if to respond, a large feline came from the office behind the bar, briefly rubbing against the woman's legs as it eyed the man, emerald eyes as big as the center of Abel's palms.
Abel frowned as he eyed the beast warily, snatching up the tray that the woman shoved his way before he danced beyond the swinging half-door at the end of the counter. "You got it, Eowynn,"

Cerria walked forward using her foot to shove the door aside. Instantly scouting out a table-she made her way into the chair.Pulling her hood further up she tuned in on everything that was going on around her. Eyes flitting about the room she made mental notes on everything she witnessed. A loud bang jolted her attention away from her task, green eyes turning to a boisterous young man. After listening for a second she exhaled, eyes closing in disinterest.

Just as he was instructed, Abel danced around the folks throughout the bar, dropping the drinks at the table, then turned to the other where the crew tipped over another one. His voice was sturdy and loud, the tray at his side as he instructed the brawlers to take it outside, though he was met with slurred words and some mild threats. The young man puffed, chest broadening with the breath before he smacked one across the cheek with the tray, tossed it to a table, and grabbed the two people by the backs of their shirts and drug them out a side door. The two cried out, still trying to reach for another, when Abel shoved them out, hands on his hips as he snapped back at them.
"I would rather not deal with the boss's fury, or her bloody cat," he proclaimed. "Take this elsewhere and don't come back until the two of you are friends, because I'm tired of cleaning up your mess!" Abel turned on his heel and kicked the door shut, a small spread of frost spreading where his foot met wood, and he stalked back to retrieve his tray.
Some observers whistled and both joked towards him and praised him, though he only shook his head and went back to work.

Cerria cracked her eyes open just far enough to watch as the two men were...politely escorted from the establishment. A twinkle of amusement made its way into her features before it disappeared instantly. Gaze transferring to the wood he had touched a frown formed. Inhaling she held her hand up waving to get his attention. "Pardon me."

Eowynn whistled behind the bar, her silver eyes bright as they eyed Abel. "Way to handle that, kiddo." It was hard to know if she was genuine or actually making a snide remark, but she said no more as she tended the others that sat at the bar.
His shoulders rose and fell with a shake of his head, a small smile touching his lips as he tucked his tray under his arm. He started walking on, though stopped as someone caught his attention, speaking to him as they waved.
"Pardon me."
Without hesitation, he strode over, readjusting his cap. "What can I do for you, miss?"

"What can I do for you, miss?"
Cerrias eyebrow rose at him before a small puff of air passed through her lips soundlessly. She hadn't necessarily needed anything-her curiosity had merely gotten the better of her. Though the reason why she spoke out to him-was a mystery even to her. But well he was here-may as well just come out and ask. "Well I heard certain things about this tavern and I'm curious to find out if the rumors are true."

"Well I heard certain things about this tavern and I'm curious to find out if the rumors are true."
Abel eyed her for a moment, a hand finding its way into his pocket. The blue was vivid, and the light was almost as bright as the smirk that graced his lips. "Well, that depends on what sort of rumors you're after." His head cocked to the side. "If you're looking for mystery, you'll find it. If you're looking for some good deals, you'll find it. Searching for someone? Someone here would have some word about them in some form."

"Well, that depends on what sort of rumors you're after."
"Is that so?" Her head tilted in thought letting out a short hum. Leaning forward she moved to where their foreheads were almost touching.
"If you're looking for mystery, you'll find it. If you're looking for some good deals, you'll find it. Searching for someone? Someone here would have some word about them in some form."
Inhaling she pulled back, settling back into her chair. Pulling her legs up she propped them against the table. "Well now. That's quite a lot of information in and of itself." Smirking she glanced at him, eyes peeking out from below her cloak in amusement. "But the rumor I'm interested at the moment is whether or not the drinks are as good as everyone says."

At first, his smirk faltered a little into uncertainty as her forehead nearly brushed his, and for a moment he wondered if she had felt the chill. Abel stepped back a half step to put distance between them, though when her correction came his lips were graced with a smile. It was a relief that she wasn't like most of the other patrons here who were after the bounties, the secrets, the goods you couldn't find anywhere else. It made her stand out and gave him something new to focus his attention on.
"Well, why didn't you say it was for the drinks!" he laughed, a cool sound among the hearty and warm bellows from another table. "I can personally say, they are among the best. What say you to trying the house special?"

"Well, why didn't you say it was for the drinks!"
Cerria noticed how he immediately backed up and the corner of her eyes tightened. That certainly was strange...most men wouldve taken advantage of a situation such as that.
"I can personally say, they are among the best. What say you to trying the house special?"
After a second she relaxed-lips curving up at the laugh. For some unknown reason his voice-no his entire being just gave off a calming aura. "That is very tempting. But seeing as its a recommendation from the staff-then I will try some." Her eyes lifted up before she lowered her cloak. A young woman with straight blonde hair and green eyes landed on him. "But I do have a request-sit down and drink with me."

Abel lit up when she agreed to try the special, and his glee turned into surprise as she requested he drink with her. His gaze slipped to Eowynn, and as if she knew she eyed him back and gave a half-hearted shrug. She didn't usually care what he did as long as work got done, and that's what matters.
The man turned back to her and smiled wide, teeth bright. "I shall go make our drinks."
Turning, he slipped past the other patrons to the bar and snatched two glasses. He began to work, making a frozen mixed drink, rimming the glass with coconut and sugar and adeptly poured the concoction in. It came out a vibrant shade of blue, like the hidden underbellies of icebergs where the water kept its color, and he carried the two glasses over and sat one in front her.
"I hope you like coconut and rum," he replied as he settled in the seat near her. "This one's dubbed the Jack Frost, with just a hint of mint added to give it the chill."

Cerrias eyes flashed with satisfaction at his face lit up. Regardless of the fact he didn't react to her looks- it was good to know she could get something out of him. Snorting softly she lowered her feet, watching him in amusement. Once he was coming back her features changed back to a nonchalant look. Eyeing the drink in front of her she waved her hand towards the other seat. "Please sit." Inhaling she pulled the drink closer eyes widening a little at the liquid being almost crystal clear. "Mint?" She mused as she swirled it slowly. Though her lips twisted up at the name. "How original." She meant it sarcastically, but she would be lying if I it didn't intrigue her.

He settled in and leaned back in his chair, glass in hand as he eyed her. The woman's features were still somewhat concealed, hiding any major details from him as he studied the quirk of her lips at the name. "It was the old man's creation," he remarked with a grin, taking a sip. "Name weren't his strong suit. Which, speaking of," Abel leaned forward just a little, offering a hand, "I'm Abel."

"I'm Abel."
Cerria glanced at him before putting her drink down. Raising her hands to her hood she finished removing. Moving forward in her chair, her blond hair fell to her shoulders. "Abel...that's quite the uncommon name." Lifting her head piercing green eyes met his as took his hand. "Its a pleasure to meet you Abel." Shaking it she pulled back before lifting her glass. "Shall we drink?"
