"Even if they don't seem like it, Priya and Ridge work close together. Ridge has a fascination over her, and Priya enjoys having toys on hand," Auguste started, tone terse. "But if Priya had the girl before, I can almost bet her knight's court was involved, lead by an illusionist who goes by Ace. I'm not completely familiar with illusionists and their abilities, but whoever Alyse was before may have ended up tangled in a web, and to cover either her tracks or theirs, her memories were manipulated and replaced." He looked at Leia. "What exactly did you see when she stepped in and attacked Ridge?"

"I honestly didn't see anything. " she paused a moment. "They did make contact though. Thats all I remember before he was on the ground. That and her pulling me into a run."

"No. But we have a place to start investigating," Auguste responded. "I'll start looking further into Priya's court."
"I honestly didn't see anything. " she paused a moment. "They did make contact though. Thats all I remember before he was on the ground. That and her pulling me into a run."
Auguste thought a moment. "I wonder... You didn't see it, but Ridge did." He paused, thoughts running again. He looked towards the room. "Keep an eye on her. I don't think she's a threat, but we may be able to learn a little more the closer we watch her. But I don't believe she's a spy."

"Priya was on the mountain top, and with the two of you having been there when she and Ridge were after the girl, she'll likely take both your heads for getting in her way." His tone was stern, but his smile was gentle. "I'll handle this. Besides, it'd do these bones some good getting out. I won't be but a night, maybe less, but I don't want a war starting yet."

Auguste nodded and went for his coat, pulling his hat off of the coat rack as he draped the jacket on his arm. "John and Daniel will remain here on their rounds." He placed his hat on his head, still remaining relatively old fashioned. "You know where everything is, Leia. No need to be shy." He gave a smile and stepped out, pausing to inform the two in front, who started to protest, but backed down as he walked away, one other following at his side.

Alyse leaned back from where she had moved to the door to listen. She didn't understand who they were talking about, but whoever it was, she knew in the back of her mind they weren't good news. She looked down, touching the scarf again, and for the first time, she wondered when she actually got it. It wasn't with the old man-- she had it when she had eaten with him. She moved to the bed and sat down again, twisting the yarn at the end between her fingers.

A flash of white on the back of the blue part of the scarf caught her attention and she turned it over, finding a name embroidered, thin and nearly unnoticeable. She frowned a little, studying it before she stood and stepped out the room, hand holding the area as she looked up and around.
