Kale met her gaze. He wouldn't bow his head- no if he was going to go through with this,he wasn't going to do anything that showed he had changed his mind. His eyes flashed with an undetectable emotion when she squeezed his arm. Blood pounding in his ears he gave a small smile- one of the fake ones he had learned to master over the years. "Of course. " When she let go he gave a small wave picking up his stuff. "Goodbye Rune." He slings the strap on his shoulder before turning in the other direction. As he walked away, he kept his head high and form strong. He wouldn't break here. However no matter what he said, his eyes instantly changed to those full of sorrow and regret as he reminded himself that he was doing the right thing.

Rune's lips pursed in a small uncertain smile as he walked away, her hand raising to return the wave, though once he hand started away it dropped, the smile and the guarded expression fading as her gaze traveled to the sand. She turned everything over and over in her head.
Turning, she looked out to the sea, feeling the feeling she had before she ran into Kale settle, and she no longer wanted to go home. She hugged herself as she watched the waves, biting her lip as she fought the urge to run after him, though a moment later she turned back and looked his way. He wants to go, let him be, she told herself, but another voice in the back of her mind told her to run.

Kale kept on walking, keeping his steps steady. However when he turned the corner, his composure shattered as he broke into a run. He didn't care where he was going but he knew that he needed to get away from everyone.

Runic watched as he rounded the corner, taking a few steps forward before stopping and falling still, shoulders lowering. She turned back to the ocean, eyes distant as she stepped towards it, not knowing what to do or how to feel. But in a heartbeat, she whirled around and took off after him, the voice urging her to run, the feeling of loss and loneliness setting in. Rune didn't want to feel that way any longer, and she knew by his expression that he didn't either.
So run she did.

Kale continued to run. Sensing a presence behind him he jumped over a patch of brush before disappearing. He didn't want her to follow him, but at the same time he was glad she was.

Rune skid to a stop as he traveled through the brush, looking around then at the ground, taking a slightly wide stance. She closed her eyes and swiftly slid her foot forward, feeling the vibration of the earth under her feet. After a moment, she picked up his movement, eyes opening as she started forward again, jumping the brush.

Rune led him back to her little cabin, pausing just outside the door and looking out over the ocean again. Her hand lingered on the door knob, then she unlocked it and stepped inside, looking around.
