Kale froze, unmoving as she talked. A million thoughts were going through his mind. "You want to go out with me? " murmurs quietly, the question hanging in the air.

Shaking his head he closed the distance between them, bending down to kiss her cheek. "Don't be sorry." he pulls back to look at her, unshed emotions in his gaze. "I like you a lot Rune, more than I have anyone. " He smiles softly pushing her hair back. "But I won't go out with you." I cant...

He wanted to go out with the girl, no young woman that stood before him. But he would never allow himself that chance. One way or another, she would only end up getting hurt.
