Riad stiffed, leaping away a moment later and whirling towards him, face turning to stone as his violet eyes glared at Lucifer. Though inside, panic was boiling in his stomach.
Dozorce, on the other hand, looked ready to tear Lucifer apart, but made no move towards him nor said a word as his pale eyes stared straight through him, jaw ticked.
"Lies," Riad hissed.

Lucifer murmurs, dark grin crossing his face as his eyes find Dozroce, nods in his direction before his head snaps around at Riad's statement "Watch your tongue boy, or I'll cut that out." he murmurs, wings still outstretched, eyes red "Besides. I came to talk to him, not you." He hisses, pointing at Carter behind him

Riad grew rigid and still, eyes remaining on Lucifer, sharp like daggers. Dozorce stepped forward, still watching Lucifer and stepped over by Riad. "Why do you want the boy?" he asked, voice relatively emotionless.

Noticing how tense Riad and his father are around the man, Carter frowns before going deathly still at the sound of Zlo's name and the comment that the mystery man was here for him, pieces it together. Lips pursing, he pauses then steps in front of Riad at the threat, standing next to Dozorce, blue eyes cool "Lucifer, I presume?" he murmurs, tone chilly, serious
"Lucifer, I presume?"
"Why do you want the boy?
"Ah yes. The human who wishes to become one of us." Lucifer murmurs as he turns to Carter, red eyes flashing with something at his tone, slow smile, wings fading "Why do I want him? For his rage, and hate, of course. Zlataan ran from his destiny, so I'm looking for this one to take his place. He'd make a wonderful addition to my legion. Provided he lives through the transition, that is."

"Riad, he's made his choice," Dozorce said dryly, eyes still on Lucifer.
His eyes flashed as they glanced towards his father. "I don't give a damn. What Zlo had gone through, what others have gone through, it isn't worth," he gestured to himself and his father, shaking his head, "this. Carter, listen to me. We'll find some other way, please." His voice wavered as he gaze flicked from Dozorce to Lucifer, then finally settled on Carter.

Listening to them bicker, Carter watches silently before something in him snaps, teeth gritting as he looks at Riad a moment, then to Lucifer "I'm sorry Riad. But I won't lose you too. You're worth it." he murmurs under his breath, locks gazes with the devils "You want my rage? Then take it. You want my hate? You can have that too. But know this, if you ever touch him, I will desert you, just as Zlo did."

Grinning, Lucifer looks at the human before sticking his hand out "I accept those terms. Do we have a deal then? Your mortality for your services?" he murmurs, eyes flashing bright red "Decide this, and I will come back for you in a few hours."

"Carter..." Riad stared at him and his jaw ticked, looking down as Carter bargained his end of the deal. Dozorce's eyes slid to him, and he could feel the storm brewing, though he decided he wasn't going to act until the deal was to be completed later. His pale eyes went back to Lucifer.
"I accept those terms. Do we have a deal then? Your mortality for your services? Decide this, and I will come back for you in a few hours."
He took a breath, eyes moving towards the extended hand, his tail tightening against his leg as he stood, anger boiling as his father sat back and did nothing.
