Elias's jaw worked as he felt the tension rise, seeing it in his brother's shoulders, and it found its way to his as he remembered the last time something happened. His violet gaze snapped back to Shade, his hand tightening on Eva's.

Riad held his hand out to stop her, giving a small shake of his head. "And what he will do, if this is happening to Carter." His gaze slid to Shade. "And he's with Angel," he said quietly so only she could hear. His eyes flicked back to Carter.

Elias shifted his weight, watching as his brother lowered his arm. Riad sighed and rubbed his forehead to chase away the dull throb that found its way there. "Why are you acting this way, as both? What is it you want?"

"You, isn't that obvious? Have I not made myself clear?" Carter frowns, studying him "I'm not Lucifer. I just inherited some of his powers and personality is all. After all, he did turn me." smirking, he sighs "Which is more than I can say for you."

Another quiver in Ri's muscles, and Elias began to try to find a way to keep Ri calm. Ri's eyes close, and he gave a small shake of his head. "Too much shit has happened today, I need some time to get my head together."
Elias looked down, knowing part of it was his fault. He snorted quietly and shook his head.

"Then how about this." Carter murmurs, grin growing "Why don't I just make everyone else leave so you can rest?" he murmurs, eyes flashing blue as he waves his hand, nothing happening apparent until Eva cries out
Gasping as if she can't breathe, she clutches at her chest, stumbles back and away from Elias, falls to her knees. Eyes widening and filling with fear, she tries to force herself back to her feet before she passes out, small light grey ball with dark spots floating half in her chest half in the air

"What?" Riad's hand lowers and he looks at him, though tensed as he heard the sounds behind him.
Elias jerked and looked at Eva, eyes widening as she dropped and he quickly knelt. "Eva?" His hand rested on her shoulder, though when she fell and the orb appeared, his head whipped to Carter. "What did you do?" He snarled, eyes flashing brightly with his fire as he bristled. "Leave her alone."
"Carter, stop," Riad responded, gaze even and tone steely. "They're not at fault, none of you are."

Eyes flicking to him, he shakes his head "You're a very bad liar. Just look around. My aunt tried to kill me. She tried to kill your brother, and I very nearly let her. You want to know why Zlo wasn't Lucifer's only candidate?" he jerks his hand, thumb pointed towards his chest "Because he didn't have my hate. At least, not since he met her." he states, glancing at Shade
Stiffening, she grits her teeth, angry "I will kill you." she hisses, taking a step forward
"I wouldn't." his irises flash blue then red, in warning, turns his attention back to Riad "Don't stand there and say that none of us are at fault. If Lucifer hadn't found your brother and used him, my aunt would still be alive, I'd still be human, and there would be no vicious cycle of revenge. She's just a minor pawn Lucifer used to play with Zlo. But even so, had he not denied Lucifer, she wouldn't have died in the first place." his hand gestures to Shade

Elias whirled to Eva and quickly knelt, gathering her to him and picked her up, looking at Riad from the corner of his eyes as Shade spoke, his brows drawing together and frowning at something he sensed.
Riad's hand gestured for them to go from his side. "Just make sure my brother and her are out of harm's way," he replied evenly, eyes still on Carter. "I'll be fine." He finally looked towards Shade with resolve, and Elias tensed before he turned towards the door.
"Tch. C'mon," he said lowly, opening the door and holding it, looking back. "Don't do any stupid shit. I haven't made up my beef with you yet, Ri."
A thin and mirthless smile touched his lips. "Get out."
