"Your brother would be fine." Shade states, voice tense as they walk by a bunch of humans, bloody hand tucked into her shirt so as to not freak them out "So will she."
Groaning softly, Eva's eyes flutter open slowly, face pale but conscious "Elias.."

"We're going to talk," he replied. "However, there's something you need to know before we do. Remember Cape Cod if you think of doing something that you may later regret." His voice was quiet and low, expression unchanging as he remembered Rima's words. In case things went south, they were going to be emergency option. He wasn't sure what his reaction would be, or what would happen, but he didn't want to fight Carter, even if Lucifer was inside. He wasn't sure if he even could.
"Your brother would be fine. So will she."
"Elias.."
He let out a sigh of relief, moving her to his back, gaze towards the ground. "He and I have our issues, but even under the hate I still cared. Or care. However you look at it. I know I was at fault, but I don't want him making the same mistake twice," his voice grew softer. "I honestly don't like him when he let's his demon out, even if his normal chipper and overly-caring side irritates the living shit out of me."

Carter replies automatically to his first statement before he stiffens, eyes widening just a bit, leans over, grasping his head with a groan, red irises flicking between crimson and electric blue. Stilling a few moments later, he laughs sharply, throwing his head back "Nice try to get me to turn on my emotions. But it's not going to happen.

"Well, if you're wanting to rip my head off, then yes, I think it's a fantastic time for drinks," he replied, pulling out two glasses and in one made one of his favorites, one that he hadn't had in years. His expression was impassive but his was gaze vibrant and vivid, movements smooth as he poured the alcohol.
