His head turns to her and he frowns. "What's that supposed to mean? How does ordering food make me gullible?" Though when her lips brush his he stiffens a little, staring at her as she leans back.

Quan snorts and stands, running a hand through his hair. "You shouldn't worry," he murmurs, then gestures to the bathroom. "I'm going to shower. Here." He pulls out his wallet and gives her the money to pay for the food. "If it gets here before I'm out, give this to 'em, and tell them to keep the change."

He goes to the bathroom and closes the door behind him, leaning against it a little as he looks at the ground. It's a few minutes before he actually jumps into the shower, the water scalding hot as he steps in, though he's unphased.

He presses his forehead against the wall as the water run, staring into space as he concentrates on the feeling of water against his patch of scales, arm pressed against the wall above his head. "Svabol ui wer montu di nomeno iejir persvek sia bekihi?" (What is the point of this blood in my veins?) he murmurs, eyes closing before his shakes the water in his hair.
