Quan rinses the rag out and drapes it over the faucet, returning to his chair shortly after as he looks over her. He leans forward, elbows against his thighs as he presses his hands together and against his chin, expression troubled. And he remains that way for nearly most the night.

Waking up, Kas yawns softly, blinking as she sits up. Gaze wavering as it finds him, she hesitates then reaches out, hand brushing the scales on his neck, breath held in apprehension

His brow twitches as the touch registers unconsciously, though he doesn't otherwise wake. His head, however, rolls just a little in his sleep towards her hand.

Quan's face twitches before he jerks a little in his sleep, eyes cracking open slowly. At the same time, his scales recede again while he raises his head, groggy gaze meeting Kas's as he blinks slowly.

Eyes bright he studies her, the question not registering before the light fades and he frowns a little, blinking as though to blink away a mirage. "What?" he murmurs, then the question clicks. "Uh, yeah, fine." He straightens with a deep breath, rubbing his face.

"Who was I seeing...?" he echoes quietly, looking at her as his eyes narrow a bit in concentration before he shakes his head. "No one. I was seeing no one."
