Hearts clung to Spades as they flew down, hating heights, and when they made it to the gates of her home and landed she pulled away, smoothing her coat. "I hate when you do that," she murmured, and two men opened the gate, murmuring a welcome back as she stepped through. As her foot passed through the gate, a red haired man moved forward, bowing just a little.
"Welcome back, m'lday," he greeted, straightening and looking at Ridge. "And welcome, Spades." He looked back at Priya, gaze troubled, and he noticed Marisole. "The Carnival Head is here to see you. I insisted he return home, as I know how much you despise him, but he insisted."
"Thank you, Ace. That old goon is here?" She snorted, expression annoyed.
"He's in the main room," Ace replied, turning and leading the way.

"Oh, I forgot," Priya smiled at Ace's back. "Ace, I have a gift for you." He turned and looked back at her from over his shoulder. "I hope she'll serve you well. Marisole, this is who you'll b staying with."
Ace's steps faltered, but they didn't stop as he looked forward again. "You didn't have to, m'lady."
"Oh, I did." She smiled again, and something rippled along his back.
He stepped into the main room, and an older male straightened from standing near the wall, removing his top hat and gazing at Priya. "Priya Hearts," he smiled, though it didn't touch his eyes.
"Carnivalman Auguste," she sneered, her smile and demeanor gone. "Ace, why don't you take your new toy and retire for the day?"
"Madame--"
"Don't make me say it twice."
Ace stiffened, looked away, then turned and carefully took Marisole's arm and lead her out of the room. "This way," he murmured. "I'll show you to your room."

Slightly relaxed look fading with each word uttered, Marisole bites her lip and looks away, silent until Ace leads her away, voice barely audible "Forgive me, my lord.."

Smiling faintly, sadness crosses the back of her gaze as she shakes her head a bit, hands tightening on her bag "I'm afraid that's all I've ever been. One more man isn't going to affect anything. Besides, you seem kind." she offers, trying to make light of the situation "If Madame Heart had not claimed me, I would be dead by now. So, in a way, you're the only reason I'm alive. Because of her favor for you.."

He paused in front of a entry door, looking back at her as something crossed his gaze, and he looked forward again and opened the door. "I won't do anything to you," he said quietly. "Not without consent from your own wishes. I don't want her favors." He stepped through the door, holding it open. "In this part of the mansion, no one will bother one. No one comes this way unless I let them."

I was bred to serve." she whispers, stepping close and wrapping her arms around him "So unless you find me utterly repulsive, please don't shut me out..."

He stiffened, hand remaining on the door before he wrapped an arm around her. "Don't worry." He took a breath, gaze trained on the wall. "You're not repulsive, miss. It's just...complicated." He stepped away, pulling her gently with him and closed the door, then stepped back. "This way, and I'll show you to your room."

"No," he said quickly. "I'm glad you're not her. I couldn't handle having another Priya running around." His voice was tense as me walked down the hall and through a sitting room, then to another door. "Maybe with you around, she'll leave me be. Even if the chances of that are slim to none."
