 Where most Spades have chosen to live off the moutain, mostly fishing and trading there. The only problem is, temperatures never reach above 65 degrees, and they can most certainly drop so low you'll perish if out. How long can you stand the cold? |

Sliding down a hill, snow scattered around Alyse's feet, her hood drawn up tightly around her face. She had to thank an inhabitant on the mountain for the extra clothes, and for taking her in when they had. However, she wasn't sure if those chasing her had seen her face, or just her. She leaped over a small boulder and continued sliding, tripping and tumbling head over heels the rest of the way down with a bitten back cry. Once at the bottom she scrambled to her feet, resuming her run again.

Leia looked around to see if she noticed anything. "Look for anything out of the ordinary."
Jasper buffed looking toward the right. Spotting something he tilted his head before stopping. "Does a girl tumbling down a hill count?"
"What? "She immediately stopped walking and turned to follow his finger to determine what he meant. With widening eyes she broke off into a run.

"You aren't getting away, girl!" Spades calls with a grin, chasing her along with a few of his men, dressed comfortably for the weather of the mountain, wearing thick boots, gaining on her, knows his territory like the back of his hand. All the slopes, the shards of rock sticking up from the surface, everything.

"You aren't getting away, girl!"
Struggling in the snow, she swore, pushing herself up again as her hood fell back and resumed her course, running straight for the river. She glanced over her shoulder, eyes widening at the swiftness of him and his men. On instinct, she began weaving her way through the trees, though with eyes widening as she skittered to a halt, she saw two others come into the picture.
"No!" she breathed and took a sharp turn away from the man and woman, running towards the river's edge. What is happening!

Priya sat perched on the other side of the river, sitting on one of the large rocks and peering to the other side and into Spade's territory. She found it so drab, with all the snow and ice, but also saw the beauty laying underneath. But, she preferred her warmth and her red.
A flash on the other side caught her attention, her eyes snapping to it. She gestured for the binoculars one of her men held and he wordlessly passed it over. Peering through it, Priya grinned widely. "Why, if it isn't Spades." Moving to the girl with black hair, she frowned a little. "And the wench that got away." She lowered her hands and gestured down stream. "If she crosses, I want her brought in." Her gaze snapped to the other figures. "Well what do we have here. The Diamond leader has a new dog."
"Madame Hearts, what do you want us to do about them?" one man asked.
"Nothing. I want the girl."

Kapser watched as she ran suddenly, eyes confused. Snapping back to reality due to the sounds he started, stepping forward. "Leia!"
Leia turned her head hearing Spades chasing her. Spotting something across the river her eyes widened in fear. Not only for the girl but for Kasper. There was no telling what they might do to him.
"No!
"Wait!" I can help you. Ignoring the fact that Kasper had been calling her name behind her, she pushed herself to go faster. Her breath in her throat, she raised her hand. Following this action a plant grew from the ground, swallowing the girl before vines surrounded the plant. She hated to do that to the girl but she was outbof options and out of time.

"Wait!"
Alyse nearly made it to the water's edge, though she tumbled forward as a root came from the ground, and with a cry of confusion twisted as the plant swallowed her. She let out a frightened and strangled sound, trying to claw away the vines, but leaned back when it was no use, trying to catch her breath.
"Damn you Diamond!"
Her head twisted towards the sound of the voice, pressing her back against the vines as she tried putting distance between her and the man's presence.

Growling in frustration as the vines rose, she shoved the binoculars to one of the men beside her. "Damn that girl. She's always getting in the bloody way." She whirled around and stalked away, cursing under her breath. "Oh how much I would love to see her head roll."

"Recall the men. Send them to the border," her gaze sharpened. "I will get her no matter what it takes."

Kasper gritted his teeth after a minute, before giving chase. Damn it. He didn't know why he was following the girl, but he had promised to accompany her for awhile. And so he would.
"Damn you Diamond!"
Leia reached the vine shortly after, only skidding to a stop when she is near the plant. She stood in front of it, placing a hand on it. "Are you alright?" Whispers quietly to the girl before she turns around, hearing Kasper come up upon her. "Kasper what are you doing?" Her eyes widened before she pushed him lightly. "Go back! You shouldn't be here. " she whispers slowly. "I'm sorry I asked you to come. If I had known...its not safe. Get out while you still can!"

Alyse started from her voice, back away again, then looked around, hands on the walls as she searching for a way out. The small space seemed to be closing in on her, and with another whimper she tried to get out, beating on the wall when she failed again, sitting against it.
"Get her! Diamond! That girl is mine! To defy me is death."
She cringed and curled up, covering her ears. "Let me out," she whispered. "Let me out, please."

Kasper blinked in shock before he frowned. "Are you insane? You can't take on both gangs! Its suicide. " his voice raised with each word. He didn't trust her but he wasn't about to just leave her, although that could be the rebellious side of him wanting to disobey.
"Are you insane? You can't take on both gangs! Its suicide. "
"Don't argue, just go! That's an order!" she bit her lip after saying that, glad she was facing the other direction. She never ordered anyone around before, but she had never met someone as stubborn as him. Well no she had but that was besides the point.
"Get her! Diamond! That girl is mine! To defy me is death."
Leia's gaze snapped to spades and she held her hands out. "I don't care." Her gaze became level and hardened. " If the penalty is death, then by all means go ahead." her voice comes out clear and firm.
"Let me out," "Let me out, please."
Her head swiveled to the side, towards the plant. With unsure eyes she undid what the plant had done. The vines fell one by one before the plant disappeared more the closer it was to the ground. Once the girl had reached the ground, a seed fell beside her. She would do everything in her power to keep her safe, but she wouldn't harm the girl. "I'm sorry if I scared you." says softly.

"Fine by me, it's just more territory to control." he replies smoothly, lifting his arm, fist clenching as if he's about to hit something

Stilling, he pauses a moment when the girl is freed before he springs forward, fingers reaching for her arm, gaze focused

Standing on her feet as she feels the vines move, she takes a deep breath as she shook, fighting her fear off the best she could.
"I'm sorry if I scared you."
Her gaze rose and went to look at Leia, having missed Spade's words, though the moment she spotted him she whirled towards him, bringing an arm up. When his hand touched her arm where her sleeve had torn just a little, her expression changed sharply as she stumbled back a step, eyes flashing bright blue. Her gaze locked with his as unconsciously she dug through his head, pulling from his mind and casting out an illusion of everything being stripped away from him. In the distance, the sound of the mines crumbling and the shouts of people could be heard, the sky growing dark as it started to rain ash.
With a sharp gaze and a dangerous tone, she murmured, "You're losing all you know, just because you won't let go."
To the outside would, it just looked at though time stood still with the two, Alyse's gaze sharp and holding Spade's, jaw clenched.
