 Guidewind forest is one of the few major parks nearby. Stretching over hundreds of acres, the trees are free to tower however high they wish, with trails weaving over their roots for the public enjoyment. Just don't forget to be prepared for anything to happen. |

Runic led Kale towards the forest, pausing for a heartbeat at the mouth of the trail, glancing over her shoulder to check if he was still there. Taking a breath, she continued forward, walking down the trail, her feet unconsciously carrying her towards her sister's favorite spot-- a break in the trees deep within the wood.

Kale walked with his head down, only realizing moments later that he had fallen behind. In order to catch up he quickened his step, sticking his hands in his pockets. Upon reaching the spot, his eyes lifted up as his facial features morphed with awe.

Running to one edge of the clearing, she stopped and looked down and into the woods, a drop off near her feet. She took in the sight, then slowly turned towards Kale, taking in his expression of awe. A smile reached Rune's eyes, but she didn't let it show. Not yet.

Hearing her Kale flicked his gaze to her before nodding. Once he walked up to the spot she was at, a small smirk reached his face. "This is perfect. "Still grinning he walked out to the edge and continued to walk forward, unafraid. Once he was hovering a few feet from the edge. he turned and looked at her expectantly- smile gone. His eyes carried 4 different emotions as he tried to gauge how she would react. A few trees could be seen behind him as a small piece of his bangs fell to lay over his left eye.

Rune watched him, brows drawing together as she watched him step of the edge and continue a few feet out. She turned and completely faced him, eyes studying as strands of her hair brushed her cheek, and after a couple of heartbeats, her expression took on multiple emotions.
Hesitantly, quietly, she asked, "You're....you're like me..?"
A few steps towards the edge, her hand twitched as her side, but she grew still and studied him closely. Awe, excitement, uncertainty and something imperceptible crossed her gaze.

Kale's expression warmed a little bit at her words and he tilted his head, debating if he should tell her. "I saw you earlier in the kitchen. I wasn't sure at first, I-"he paused looking down. If it would be alright to tell someone. The sentence finished in his head.
Looking back up he smiled slightly, watching her near the edge. "I meant what I said when I told you that you hadn't seen much of the show yet. " Slowly he extended his hand out towards her, but not close enough to reach. She would have to make that choice on her own.

Runic met his gaze, brows lifting and tension fading, though the hesitation remained. She watched his actions, and she knew then that like her, he was forced to keep it all quiet, warned about what would happen.

Her emerald eyes drifted to his hand, then back to his gaze, and with less hesitation, she stepped forward and took it, a small smile touching her lips.

Kale watched her, smiling more as she stepped forward- this one that graced his face more natural. Wrapping his fingers around hers comfortably, he took three steps backwards to see what she would do. Keeping eye contact he slowly formed a small cyclone below his feet.

Rune slowly stepped forward, her eyes not leaving him, though quietly she murmured breathlessly, "Don't let me fall." Although in the next heartbeat, a smaller, more weaker funnel of air grew under her feet, a small look of concentration on her face, though her smile widened.

A resounding chuckle vibrated his chest and he looked at her. "I won't" Keeping true to his word, his other arm rested on her back for safety measures, as well as reassurance. As he created a bigger funnel, he asked it to carry them over the trees a little ways. Far enough to let her enjoy it, but not close enough to any road.

Kale watched her, slightly pleased and amused at her behavior. A smile appeared in response to hers and he looked up at the sky. "I was hoping that you wouldn't be afraid of heights." says softly, another meaning to his words but he decided to let it lay. After a few more minutes he called upon the wind to carry them back over to the edge.
