When they appeared near a small run down cabin by the lake, Elias let Eva go and took a few stumbling steps back until his back pressed against a tree, and slowly he lowered himself down to the ground, hands pressing against his head and his eyes squeezed shut, one hand clutching the stone for dear life. His breath shuddered as he exhaled.

Yelping when they suddenly disappear then reappear elsewhere, Eva sways a moment, whiplash. Hearing a shuffle, her head snaps around and she rushes to him, grey eyes wide "Elias?..." she whispers, raises a hand to touch his face

"Elias?..."
Slowly, feeling the hand on his face, he opened his eyes, forehead knotted together in both pain and confusion, gaze rising towards hers, eyes squinting a little through the haze. "Everything is blurry.... And seems so bloody bright," he murmured despite it being twilight out, heel of his palm of the hand with the stone in it rubbing at an eye.

After a moment, his eyes opened again, hand lowering as they moved to Eva's face, eyes searching and studying as he was able to see her for the first time. His brows creased in concentration, eyes pinched at the corners as the haze faded. Quietly, to prove to himself he wasn't dreaming, he murmured, "Sparrow..."

Studying his actions, Eva suppresses a flinch at the scrutiny, couldn't imagine what he's going through, so she'll put up with it..

He didn't move for a moment as she hugged him, chest heavy with emotions he didn't understand, though after taking a wavering breath, his arms wrapped around her waist and pulled her close as he buried his face into her hair. Elias noticed the stormy glow around her, studying it, and his eyes closed after he shook his head a little, not ready to acknowledge everything that had happened yet.

His hand curled around the stone again as he leaned back a little, eyes flicking around and taking in his surroundings, brow still knitted but as intense as before. Then, his gaze traveled down to Eva, his hand placing the stone in his pocket before it reached up and twisted a strand of her hair around it as he studied it. Having not seen anything in a long time, everything seemed different to him, and somehow, the bittersweet beauty of it all made him feel a little less like a rough monster-like tool and more...human.

Her voice pulled him out of his stupor and his hand pulled back as he leaned back against the tree, looking away. "Physically...I couldn't be better," he murmured, though his expression changed to conflicted. "Mentally, I'm not so sure..."
He looked down at his hands, flexing them and studying them before he looked back at her, studying, a hand reaching and wiping her cheeks. "Hey, stop worrying about it," he grumbled, frowning a little and his eyes continued their study binge. "It's done, it's over, that chapter's gone." He paused, hand falling to his lap again and he shook his head at himself. "Everything seems too different," he grumbled.

"You've no real reason to," he murmured, thumbs rubbing the moisture away and coming to a rest, eyes searching and taking in all they can, especially now the stormy aura.
