As soon as he uttered those words and turned away with the girl Shade had spread her wings and took off silently, landing in a tree above near the mall, gasping as she hides in the shadows, wheezing. Grasping her head with a groan, her eyes squeeze shut, goes deathly still before she slowly laughs. Eyes flying open, they glow bright green as she takes off again in a blur towards the shoppers not a block away, bloodthirsty look in her eyes while she swoops down, sucking one soul after another, oblivious to the screams of panic as she gives chase to those who run

Zlo laughed at her, holding a couple of the toys, then walked to the front to pay for them as he set Angel on her feet, taking her hand. As they were bagged and he moved to pay, he heard the screams and froze, stiffening as he looked out the store front. Quickly his hand went to Angel and he pulled her behind him as he eyed the doorway.

Laughing, and drunk on souls, Shade walks into the mall's front entrance, dragging two people with her, one arm around a mans neck, the other holding a woman to her, sucking her life away

"Stay right here, Angel," he looked at her. "I'm just stepping to the door to see what's going on. Don't move." He stepped forward and peeked out the shop's door, looking around at the others who ran and looked towards the entrance, his view blocked by several other booths. However, he recognized the vibe. "What is...." Expression turning serious, he turned and darted back in to Angel, picking her up. "I'm sorry, sweetheart. We'll have to come back and buy some toys later, okay?" He did, however, slip one of the smaller ones into his pocket, leaving a little money with the cashier, who was staring and trying to understand what was happening.

Laughing darkly when the woman breathes her last breath, she looks at the man, frowning when he starts to yell, rolls her eyes "Oh, shut up." she mutters, snapping his neck and throwing him away before she grins, taking off again, swooping along the whole interior of the mall

Zlo took his hood and pulled it over Angel's head, murmuring, "No matter what you hear, don't look. I don't want you to be scared, because daddy's here now." He adjusted the weight and stepped to the door, watching and spotting Shade across the way. He knew that if he didn't help, she would rampage for who knew how long, but Angel became his top priority. Carefully he stepped out of the toy store and quickly started towards one of the other exits.

Spotting someone running towards an exit off to her left down below her, her eyes narrow, swoops down and goes to grab them, arm outstretched, stiffens when the voice registers, opens mouth to call out a warning before the hunger takes over again, eyes flashing green, fangs showing. Nearly reaching them, she forms somewhat claws with her fingers to grab his shirt, screams when she's knocked out of the air into a wall

Angel watched him before she started reaching out for him, small feet carrying her forward. She froze by a store door when someone screamed. Remembering something she ran into a clothing store, heading for the back.

He started when Angel went the other way, head snapping around. "Angel, no!" Hearing the scream he whipped around, taking a stumbled step back, seeing Shade, then his gaze snapped to Graz.
"What a mess."
"Just a little," Zlo responded, trying to reign himself in with what almost seemed to be unease and fear for the first time touching his features, evident by the pinch at the corner of his eyes and the creases in his brow. "Shit, Angel," he turned and started towards the clothing store as something inside started to stir, his eyes flashing red. He stumbled and reached out for the glass windowed wall of the store, leaning against it and a hand going to his head. "What the hell?..."

He grit his teeth as he heard distant voices, trying to shove them aside as he looked over his shoulder, gaze sharp as he glared at them from the corner of his eye, irises crimson flecked gold and bright. "I told you not to call me by that name," he snarled. "As for you, Shade, enough, before I have to start cleaning up this damned mess." His gaze traveled back to the store as he tried to pull himself together.
