Tuning him out, Nova focuses on the task at hand, throws her hand up when they start to get in, grits her teeth as a bright light emits from her palm and hits them, breathing hard as they scream and dissipate. Stumbling back, she holds her side, turns and makes her way to the shack, hoping to get there before more come

His head and gaze snapped towards her, smelling something fowl and something like blood, taking a tentative step towards her and reached out. "Take what? What's happened?" His mind was running nearly far too fast for him to keep up. "I don't understand any of this, your connection to Eva, why you've been gone, what's happening here. Mom," his voice cracked a little. "Nothing is making sense."

He started at the feeling of her hand, of the water, hypersensitive to touch. His gaze traveled towards her voice, brows drawn together in confusion, feeling like he's outside of his own body, all the emotions foreign to him. "You can't die, not after I've gotten you back," he whispered.

Stilling, she inhales slowly before she pulls him into a hug, gaze wavering "I'm not leaving you. But I can't live as I am now, or the two of you will go with me." she whispers, eyes close, mutters something under her breath rapidly, skin starting to glow brightly before it surges into Elias and she starts to fade "Take me, Evalyn, and run. I love you." she murmurs in his ear, vanishing, glowing blue stone hitting the floor, abilities transferring to him, spirit trapped in the rock for now, to preserve it

At the embrace he nearly collapsed, hardly able to keep himself up, though the moment he felt something surge into him, the breath left his lungs as he stumbled back, falling to the floor, hand catching him. His eyes were widened, confused, and the next moment he felt something change, eyes squeezing closed at the pressure in his head.
"Take me, Evalyn, and run. I love you."
He groaned a little and curled forward, his hands pressing against his eyes as he struggled to recover from the breathlessness, the throb pulsing at his temples. He heard the stone drop and moved a hand, an eye opening without thinking, and jolted as he started seeing, everything bright in a blurred haze and he hissed, hand returning to his eye again.

Crying out, Eva squeezes her eyes shut until the light fades, looks at Elias quickly as he falls, gaze wavers. Stepping towards him, she freezes when claw marks suddenly appear in the middle of the door, backs up as growls sound, trembles "Elias!..."

He jerked at the sounds at the door, grinding out a "Fuck" as part of his old self slipped back, mind running and confused and unable to comprehend everything at once as he pulled a hand away, blinking rapidly and fumbling for the stone, hand gripping it. Without looking at Eva, eyes moving towards the door, brows low and eyes squinted he grabbed onto her arm, the two of them vanishing in a puff of smoke.

Elias frowns at the sight, his gaze immediately scanning the area for any sign of danger. "Looks like something was looking for something," he murmurs, looking back to the home.
