Jerking in surprise, Carter snaps out of it and looks at him slowly, half nod "Sure." he murmurs, quiet, pauses when he feels something, frowns when Shade and Zlo appear behind Riad "Isn't she supposed to be dead?"

"Sandwiches we can do," he smiled at her.
"Sure. Isn't she supposed to be dead?"
Riad stiffened as the air moved behind him.
"There's a thing called dealing," Zlo grumbled, seeing Angel, then gave a small smile. "Hey Princess."
Ri turned and looked at them, face brightening a little. "You guys are okay." Then to Zlo, "I assume the deal went well?"
Zlo shifted his weight, stepping over to the bar. "Yeah, thanks to your father."
"My father? What did he do?" Riad asked, setting Angel down as Zlo held his hands out for her.
"He bargained with me. Offered a taste of his soul to the incubus's lady, who I'm assuming turned out to be his ex wife."

"Yes, we're fine." Shade murmurs, tiny smile "Are the two-three of you alright?" she asks, remembering Angel
"I assume the deal went well?"

Only half listening, he coughs at the last statement, turns slowly to look at the group "Does that mean?.."

Zlo picked her up, setting her in his lap, kissing her forehead gently, "Then we'll make some." Though he turned serious a moment later, looking at Riad.
Riad's heart stopped, eyes wide and a hand reached out to steady himself on a chair. "Ex...Wife," he echo, voice shaking. "That's..."
"Possible," Zlo replied. "She was brought back as the succubus that stood at Graz's side, and when she took some of your father's soul, it woke her up."
"You're lying," he whispered, though his eyes showed that he truly didn't see it that way. But, he didn't know how to feel about it.
Zlo shook his head. "I wouldn't lie to you about this."
"Where."
"Where they first met. The abandoned carnival."
Slowly his eyes and face brightened, fighting the part that screamed it was a lie. "I....I have to know. I have to see."
Zlo nodded. "Go ahead. We've got the bar. Then, you can introduce your lover to her."
Riad looked at Carter, hopeful, half unsure if he could handle seeing his mother for the first time since he was young. In honesty, he wasn't sure his heart could take it.

Pausing, Carter opens his mouth but stays silent as the two other demons converse, gaze wavers
"Go ahead. We've got the bar. Then, you can introduce your lover to her."
"He's right." Shade grins, slipping her arm around Carter's neck "Go on, I'll make sure he stays occupied."
Shooting her a look, Carter looks at Riad, timid smile "I'll be here. Just get back quick, okay?.." he murmurs, nervous about Rima taking over again with so many supernaturals around
